Hi,

Although new to this forum I am not new to Jaguar ownership having previously owned an 05 reg 2.0d sport estate. It was ok as a car but I found the ride very hard on the bumps of Bristol but not too bad on the motorway.

I have been on the lookout for an SE or Sovereign model as I wanted a softer ride for my poor old bones. I really wanted a metallic dark grey model with black leather. I noticed that my local jag independent ,who look after my car, had one for sale but in silver. Incidentally, my independant is usedjags sales and service, not to be confused with usedjags.com who are really NMjags. To cut the story short they gave me a good part exchange deal and I drove away in my new, soft ride Se with SatNav and all the SE trimmings.

The dealer threw a service in and replaced all the discs and pads as advised on the MOT inspection. I did check and they have!

The only thing is that my silver jag has Champagne leather and brown carpets. I know it shouldn't but it looks fantastic. It has done 73000 miles with one owner and has a full history. Everything works as it should and has all the toys one would expect in a car of this year. My old x type didn't even have a trip computer which I thought a bit mean in a modern car. My wifes 05 Pugeot has everything in it. Mind you it is French!

To end I would like to say that I have at last found a car to please me as much as my 5 series did.

regards Steve Dawson

Welcome Steve,

Your Indy has to be sure he's found you a good one. Full history and finding everything works is a bonus!

Even if you don't do your own maintenance, it's always good to know what's needed and how it should be done. There's plenty of info on the forum to help.

Enjoy the smoother ride along the A4.

Graham
