Hello all,

I have been visiting this forum for a while now, and due to the quality of it, have signed up as a new member.

I have a 2002 X-Type 2.5 and put almost 50,000 miles on since buying it in Nov 2009 w/67,000 on the odometer. I have done the following work on it so far using JTIS and info from the forum:

Water pump and coolant reservoir replacement
All new belts
Intake O-rings
Headlight connector fix
Struts all around
Brakes all around (drilled/slotted disks, ceramic pads)

Getting ready to do valve cover gaskets (leaking), so will replace intake mani gaskets, spark plugs, PCV hose (leaking), and brake booster vac line (also leaking) in the very near future.

Sorry for being wordy, but wanted to give a little background. Looking forward to being a member.

Briton

Welcome to the forum Briton,

Great Intro and congratulations on the work already completed on your X-Type. It's always good to hear when the information here is proving useful.

As a former visitor, you won't need a link to the X-Type section. That is the place to post your tech questions and your own contributions.

Enjoy the X-Type and the forum.

Graham
