I own a 1997 XK8 convertible which I bought used in 2004. I really enjoy the car although I had to rebuild the engine in 2006 with only 50K miles on it. Then this year I had to rebuild the tranny when it had only 76K miles. So $14K later I have an almost new drive train. My next adventure is swapping out the audio for a new unit that will bring it into the 21st century. A lot bigger task then I had envisioned. But it gives me something to do the next couple weekends.

Thanks to all the posts on audio fixes. I have learned a lot about the inner workings of Jaguar audio systems and found a few parts that weren't readily available through Google searches.

I'll do my best to keep up with the various threads although I'm not a true gear head but can do some rudimentary work on the car when necessary.
