Good evening,
I just joined, having just brought home my new (to me) 2003 S-type 3.0. I've already benefited by getting the answer to a pesky problem with my center console, and I'm sure I'll be back many times with little issues.
Several years ago I owned an 1978 XJ 6 (Series 2 -- you know, the one with the engine that just sort of oozed oil from every pore and the Lucas "Force of Darkness" electrical system). The car was maddening, but it was always the best-looking car in every repair shop it visited -- and it visited a lot of them. Selling it was a smart move, but I still missed it just the same.
So after almost 20 years of ordinary cars I decided to take the plunge again. It's a 2003 with 49,000 miles and seems to have been pretty well-cared for. So far, so good!
