Hello:
Name is Roger. Retired computer executive(large scale IBM mainframes). Own several cars. 1. 59 Corvette Resto-mod, 71 Corvette, owned 40 plus years, Mercedes CL 550, 56 Chrysler 300 B and a 1998 Jag XJR, owned since new, black/black, 42 K miles.
Younger days employed some 4 years as a brakeman and fireman on the CB&Q (Burlington) Railroad(often on the Calyfornua and Denver Zephyr, various jobs in garages and service stations as a very young man, and at one time while attending school as a Correctional Officer at the State of Nebraska Penitentiary for a couple of years.
Interests include: Attending classic car auctions, car shows(the Jag, the 2 Vettes and the 300 B). Tennis, swimming, firearms, numismatics, dog shows(show a 100 pound Yellow Labrador named Gatsby in AKC events) motorcycles(own a Harley Softail and a Honda CBR 1000 RR sportbike), computers, read a lot, travel.
Try to do all my own work on my automobiles except painting. Quite accomplished in car detailing(using high speed rotary and orbital buffers) and can do quite a good job on stainless steel trim polishing and refurb.
Live in Silicon Valley in the land of the fruits and nuts, Calyfornua.
