Default New member intro.

Hello All,
several weeks ago I was in a car accident and my truck was totaled so I've been looking for a replacement. During my search I stopped my a local Jaguar delaer to have a look at
thier used car inventory, I wasn't looking for a Jaguar but they had a wide selection to choose from. Ayway as I was looking around a 2004 XJ8 got my attention. I open up the door and sat
in the drivers seat and was really impressed with the quality of fit and finish if the interior. I moved to the back seat and once again was pleased, lots of let room and very comfortable. I then moved
to the outside and once again found everything to be in very good condition. I don't really know why I never considered a Jaguar before, perhaps I always believed them to be out of my price range. But after seeing the asking price I was really surprised and soon realized this is something I can afford. So tomarrow I'm heading back to the dealer and I'm going to make and offer on the car. If it's sold I'll be looking for another, at this point I'm fairly certain my next car will be a XJ8.

Welcome to the forum Don........good luck with your offer on the XJ mate.
If there's any advice you need just ask as there's a few owners that would be able / willing to help I'm sure

Hope to hear from you soon

Thanks, Ive spoken to a few people in my area and the overall consensus it that the 2004 XJ8 is a pretty solid and reliable auto. I have a co-worker who has a few friends that work at
a Jaguar dealer and I was told that their were n major issues to be concerned about. I also spoke to a few "independant" shop that specailize in Jaguar and was told again that the 04
is a good car. Now I know that all of this doesn't mean I'll never have a problem but it does but me at ease. Plus the car is a CPO ( Select?) unit with the 100K extension with about one year
of time remaining (the car has 39K miles on it now) so hopefully if anything major goes wrong it will do so before the warranty is up. Plus, if I understand correctly, I can purcahse a extansion on the plan (buying more time) as long as I do so before the CPO runs out. All I know is I'm going to have a tuff time sleeping tonight..........LOL!
