Well, I purchased a '67 Kougar....I didn't know it existed until I ran accross one for sale. It is titled as a '67 Jaguar. Has a 3.8 as I understand it. Everything appears to be original. I have all the paperwork since it was purchased in England and shipped over to the USA....I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to. I am hoping to find someone who has some experience with this car. At this point I want to change the plug wires and cap, however, I am not familar with this type of cap. The wires do not plug into the distributor cap, rather it seems that they attach to a copper washer in some fashion, that is inserted into the cap. Doesn 't seem very tight as connections go....any body have a suggestion?

Welcome to the forum,

Isn't there a nut that screws into the cap and locks down the washer and wire?

Wow! You found one here in the US.

Very rare...

BTW: The brand is still open. Looks like someone took over. Coming here was a good choice. Probably folks in the older car sections will be able to help you with questions you may have regarding the drive train.

Here is their new web site: Home of the Kougar Classic Car Range - Kougar Sports - Kougar Monza - kouger-cars.com
