Hello! I'm a new member in the L.A. area, and though I'm not a Jaguar owner, I am a lifelong car enthusiast with a special affection for Jags (I must come by it genetically; my grandfather had a 3.8-litre XK-E roadster many years before I came along.)

In the interest of full disclosure, my main purpose in joining the forum is to help promote my club's road rally activities. I feel that the sort of low-key, friendly competition and spirited (but legal) driving we support would be a perfect fit in the Jaguar community; I know of at least one other Jaguarforum member who participates regularly. Hopefully, my interest in publicizing our rallies does not run afoul of any forum rules...I would sincerely love to see a fleet of Jags at our next rally!

Your straightforward no nonsense and honest approach is appreciated and I see no problem at present in promoting your activities and trying to get members interested.

There's some great guys / techs here and always plenty going on, great info and usually plenty of banter.
