Hello to all you Jag. lovers out there! I was bitten by the big pussycat bug a few years ago with an XJ6 3.2 -- it ran on petrol and propane (lpg) and I couldn't tell the difference excepting the cost of the gas, about half that of petrol/gasoline.
You know, once bitten...there's something about Jaguars no other car seems to have, and I've mostly had them all, including full-size american motors. It must be that combination of silence, driveability and eager performance PLUS that jag. image! BMW may make the best engineered cars around nowadays, but you can hardly describe them as pretty. What person wouldn't give their eye-teeth for an E-type if only they could find the dollars/pounds? And for about £60,000 you can have one that's been re-engineered to current standards of handling and braking. Well, I can dream can't I?
Meanwhile I'll make do with my newly acquired S-type 2.7D. It has 120KM on the clock, and I'm hoping (but not expecting) to do some good miles per gallon. Honestly folks, this diesel's so quiet I'm a-thinking it's really a petrol motor!
Must away now a put a posting on the regular forum about cancelling this mad seat that impells me toward the steering wheel as soon as I insert the key. Can't find anything in the handbook...

Welcome Leedsman. Used to have the M62 as a daily commute from R'dale in the early 80's.

Hope you get your "ejector" seat sorted.
