My vehicle owning history:
1958 Wolseley 1500
1974 Renault 5
1979 Vauxhall Cavalier
1983 Citroen LNA
1983 Audi 100
1986 BMW 520i
1987 Ford Fiesta Ghia
1989 Mecedes-Benz 190
1990 BMW 520i
1991 Toyota Celica
1993 Toyota Land Cruiser
1994 Toyota Supra
2000 Lexus LX470
2001 Lexus LS430
2010 Lexus GX460
Never experienced a Jaguar before, but having tried out a large number of possible replacements for my LS430 I have the following short list:
1. Jaguar XJ Supercharged
2. Audi S4
3. Jaguar XFR
4. Porsche Cayenne S
Any reason for not choosing my current favorite #1?

Some list there inter
See you've been pretty much Japanese for the last 20 years or so....The Lexus was / is a great car. I remember visiting the Scottish Motor show years ago when the LS400 was just introduced.....even then it had every conceivable toy!!
It really is a dfferent experience owning a Jagwarrr.....lol
People look at you somehow " differently"??
Can't help with your particular choices unfortunately....I'd suggest posting that question into the XJR section for much better responses and answers that hopefully you'll find helpful.
Good luck
The Wolseley 1500 was 15 years old when I bought it for 70 pounds. The clutch was almost gone, but it had twin carbs specially fitted like the Riley 1.5. It didn't last long before I had to consign it to the dump. I was a starving student back then.
I have stuck with Toyota for 20 years because they are so reliable. Feeling a bit nervous about trying a Jaguar, but the new XJ and XF feel great on the test drives and they are very cheap here in the USA compared with everywhere else.
The interiors of the BMWs are underwhelming and austere, the Mercedes nothing special and Audi A8 drives like a car that's too big, though the interior is very well done. The Jag XJ is the best all round car I have driven.
