Hello everyone. I found this from a reference on JagLovers and, as I am just starting to replace the timing chains and tensioners on my 2002 S-Type, read through the detailed description on that (great stuff). I started in 2002 with my S-Type, then ended up with a German spec '71 XJ6 (with SU carbs); '76 XJ6, '86 XJ6 that my dad and I completely restored, '94 XJ6 that I just put a new paint job on last year with my dad, and a beautiful '95 Vanden Plas that is Rose Bronze (some say it looks like it is pink but it is a beautiful color). I just put the '95 away for the winter along with the other ones and drive a 2001 Jeep XJ (got a kick out of finding out it had the same letter designation as my Jags).
My seven year old son, who has been with me on several adventures picking up cars, being towed, etc., said recently "dad, it is always an adventure going with you, we never know how we are going to get home."
