New Member - N. AL
Afternoon Everyone.
I'm a new Forum member and wanted to introduce myself. I own two old Jag's: a 1990 XJ-S and a 1986 XJ6. Both are daily drivers, though the XJ-S is in better condition. The XJ6 sat for a few years before I bought it. I'm still working through the 'to-do' list on it. I'm a do-it-yourself'er to the extent possible, doing as much maintenance as possible myself. I'm hoping there are many more DIY'ers on the Forum from whom I can learn.
I commute on a motorcycle most days weather permitting. During bad weather, I'll take either of the old Jag's. The XJ-S has become 'my car.' The XJ6 is being inherited by my son. We thought about selling XJ6, but after spending so much time turning it into a good, dependable daily driver, the family really wants to keep it. So for now we'll keep it in the family.
Other vehicles in the family: a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo (my wife's daily driver); a 1973 Mercedes 220 (my daughter's daily driver); a 1997 Honda VFR750 sport touring motorcycle (my daily driver).
I live in Huntsville, AL. Anyone else out there in this neck of the woods?
Regards,
Dave

And your Jag is one of the only models I'd consider if I ever give up my XJ-S. I love the styling of the XK. What a hot looking car.
BTW, I spent 8 years in St. Pete eons ago (70's-80's). My Dad worked in Tampa; we lived in St. Pete.
