Hello all... I've been a Jag owner since '96. Started with a '97 XK8 then on to an '00 XKR. I've really enjoyed them both but the present one is having some ECM issues, hence the forum membership. I'm hoping to get some help and give some, if possible.

Welcome to the Forum. Used to hang out in Hickory and Marion. Where do you go for service in the Piedmont?

Back in 74 I drove an E Type thru the area. It would really draw a crowd in a gas station in those days.

I had always had service done at the Charlotte Jag dealer until I tried to get them to do an ECM reflash as per TSB 303-49 (errant restricted performance). I do most of the service myself now but I've found an independent guy in Brevard that has WDS but I can't seem to get him to call me back to schedule the reflash. I used to party (underage) at the Rusty Nail and Yesterdays back in the mid 70s and had a business in Hickory for 23 yrs. We've probably crossed paths before.

Doubt we crossed paths. I was only in Hickory long enough to be born in 38 and left at age 2. My family did play a role in starting the town as evidenced by the "cline" name on several old town buildings. Went to HS in Marion, moved on and never came back to NC to live.

Have never forgotten the pre Interstate and 19th century culture of Western NC at that time. Glad I got to see it and be part of it even if it was slipping away in front of our eyes.
