Hi and welcome to the forum.

You are bound to experience a few problems on a 16 year old car, think of all those previous owner misdeeds ! The good news is that the X300 was the car that put the reliability back into Jaguars, the engines being virtually bulletproof, with rebuilds a rarety, although clearly timing chains and tensioners etc will eventually wear out.

The only thing that defeats most owners is the digital clock on the console. They do not last long, even if repaired.

Yeah i figured that some stuff was bound to break down considering its age, such as headliner sagging (Ca weather), Digital Clock been useless since i bought it, about 6 months ago, my sunroof not opening/tilting properly(motor works, maybe clips came off) anyways actually I'm the second owner of the car, When i first got it it had 67k miles, now after a couple years im close to 95k miles, i've always tried to maintain it properly, change oil every 5k miles (royal purple) transmission fluid every 2-3 oil changes. So far its been lovely, but recently having problems with idling, hopefully not an expensive fix although everything Jaguar is not "cheap". I Just love sitting behind the wheel of a Jaguar, feeling like a million bucks

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
