Hello All!
A quick note to introduce myself. I'm a first-time Jag owner. After lurking for months on this site, and patiently waiting for a low-mileage car to come on the market in the pacific northwest, this summer I purchased a black 2005 S-Type R. I found this one while on vacation in the Chicago area, and took the opportunity to drive it home to Seattle. What a fantastic drive in a truly great car!
With guidance from the techs that frequent this site, and the bravery of the many innovators that have gone before me, I'm catching up on routine maintenance for a 50K mile car. Being a car from the upper mid-west, it comes with a few fastner-corrosion challenges, but with some tips from forum members, I've had few problems getting past these issues.
I've got a few items to share with the forum based on my own experiences, particulary with lug-nuts and brake maintenance. Over the course of the next week or two I'll add to the threads that already exist on these topics.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who contributes to this board. It is a fantastic resource and has greatly added to the enjoyment of being a Jag owner. Now, if I can only get my keys back from my wife!
