Hey,
I got a Jaguar XJ6 1994 half a year ago. I bought it in Santa Barbara, CA with 128,000 miles and now it almost has 130,000 miles.
For me it seemed like the car is in great shape. Well till last week I thought that. Then a few days ago while driving the engine just turned off and now don’t start any more. So far I have no idea what is wrong with it. I hope it is nothing too serious.

I hope it is worth fixing it and that I can enjoy the car again. It is just such a great car.

Hi Shaft welcome to the forum (cool series BTW congrats).

As regards your conking out problem you will receive better answers over in the XJ40 section.

Check your Inertia safety switch, unlikely but if it tripped for some reason, running into a wall would be one, then the engine will just shut down. (behind the panel down by your left foot).

We had a guy recently that tripped his by running over a bit of tyre or some such.

The idea about this post wasn't go get help about my problem, it was meant as an introduction.
If I read it now again, I realized that it seems like a getting help post, sorry for that.

Welcome to the forum!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
