Hello all -- just joined the 'exclusive' group of Jag owners by buying a 2006 S Type 3.0 with 71,000 miles. So far, so good, and I appreciate all the advice I have seen by browsing the site.
I am getting used to driving a larger car. My previous one (which I still have and am trying to decide what to do with) was a 1996 BMW 318ti (109,000 miles). Its a great little car, but has a manual transmission which my wife doesn't like to drive, so it limited us on swapping cars when needed. So far, the Jag has worked out great, and I got my first unsolicited compliment as I parked while running errands.
Two issues that seem to be common -- I only got one key with fob and one valet key, and the remote doesn't work. I may take a trip to Canby to talk to a locksmith there (after reading a recommendation here). And there is a fault on the reverse sensors. That one I think I can live with. Otherwise, all good.

Welcome to the forum,
Congratulations on the S-Type. Sounds like a minor issue with the reverse sensors but missing keys and fobs is a plague affecting many used Jaguar buyers on the forum.
Head to the S-Type section for advice on sourcing replacements. It could save you both $$ and time.
