Hello Everyone,

I'm not too Forum literate so hope I'm in the Introduction section !

Firstly, thanks to all the contributors whose opinions, experience and maintenance tips I have read already. I particularly like AVOS's views on upgrades. Good luck to AVOS in all your Jaguar related endeavours.

From my 'monica' you can see I'm a long-term Jaguar owner, without any breaks in ownership. Lucky man.

I travel a lot on business, UK, Europe and USA. As a result I drive many different cars. I am always amazed, whatever cars I hire, just how amazingly comfortable my Jaguars are as soon as I sit in them. I couldn't wish for a better 'Welcome Home'

When I let my V12 go, I was very unpopular with the 'family'. Despite my joy with the 'sportiness' of the XJR; the family missed the legendary 'magic carpet ride' of that sumptuous V12 and her soft suspension; suspension that gave me some very interesing moments from time to time !

I have considered getting another V12 but the gas mileage was, by today's standards, undesirable. Well worth it though at the time.

I used to attend Jaguar Days at Donnington when I lived in the Midlands. Fond memories for me. You too ? I guess some of you guys attended the E Type Anniversary days. I even met 'Lofty'. We all have much to thank and admire him for. I even got to touch a real XKSS, and Alan Lloyd's XJ220. Now's not the appropriate time for nostaligia, perhaps.

What have I learnt in all these years of Jaguar ownership ?

Ownership may not be inexpensive, but driving a well-maintained car is an absolute joy. Long live Jaguar.

Unlike many contributors, I do not maintain my cars. Main Dealers can be OK, but find yourself an good Independent, they are worth their weight in Gold.

I am considering retiring to Spain. Alicante province.

I would be very interested in any members' experience of preparing an X350 XJR for the hotter climes? Intercooler pump and radiator upgrades ?
Europeanisation (?) of front-lighting.

Finally, I hope I can offer some useful support to other existing and future Jaguar owners, whatever their ride.

PS, Fantastic Forum. My sincerest thanks to all those that created and maintain it
