New Member From So Cal
Hello all! Name is Mark. Ive been lurking on here for a few months and finally joined. Have found this site very useful in trouble shooting my 2002 X-Type 3.0 5 speed. I bought my car in late 2006 at 43k miles, we are now at 171+K miles on her. She has made me a believer in Jaguar and I look forward to my next one.
I enjoy doing my own maintainance, or at least attemp to do as much as I can with my limited resources. This car has been very good to me (knocking on wood) with just synthetic oil every 3-5k miles, upgraded brakes to drilled/slotted ceramic pads, K&N filter. Recently went through a P171 code issue. Changed the MAF sensor and fuel filter (first time that it had ever been done, wasn't pretty) and code issue fixed. I have the fortune to have a excellent repair shop near by with a great tech who allows me to pick his brain, and there prices on parts match most on the internet.
I look forward to learning more and possibly upgrading a few things others have done.
