Hello All,

Glad to be part of the forum.

I have an XJ8 2000 4.0 Sovereign. I've had it for almost 4 years, it was a 40th birthday present to myself. Always wanted a Jag since I was a little lad (as did my Dad, but I beat him to it!)

I am a complete non-techie re cars (I can just about manage putting petrol in)

Lovely car, but now having a few problems (will post separately).

Hope my posts aren't deemed too stupid but please be patient with a loyal fan of the car but not the workings of an engine, etc!!!

Hi lofty, welcome aboard, from just over the water.

Don't worry about stupid questions, we all have to learn, and anyhow if something is bothering you, then the question is not stupid.

Welcome....40 is a great milestone to get a Jag....and a XK8 is a great choice....now you can swing by the Rugby club in sunny Wales and have some fun.

Cheers

Welcome

Most of the common faults with these cars are fixable if you catch them early, and don't ignore them.
