New Member, Sunny Jacksonville Florida
Hi to all, Murf here, joined the forum several months ago after purchasing a 98 XK8, British Racing Green, Cashmere interior, tan top, 129000 miles.
Been reading a lot of the threads to learn and help with repairs to the beast.
Previous owner drove it into the ground.
Fortunately, body and paint are excellent, interior needs a bit of work and so far have completely rebuilt the frontend, including new wheel bearings, flushed the cooling system and installed new thermostat, hoses are good, had to replace the coolant tank.
Engine runs well, timing chain repair made couple years ago.
Most all electrical systems are fine, except turn signals not working, passenger seat not working.
Just working by the numbers to get it all back to 100%.
Have owned Jaguars in the past, took a break and now back again.
Goal is to eventually make the car a daily driver for competition.
Picked up a replacement tranny with 30K miles to go in place of the current one. My indy will do that for me.
Lots of excellent information on this forum and look forward to joining some of the discussions at a later date.
Will get my "Garage" up shortly.
Have to split my time between the Jag and my Harleys, oh, of course the job does require some effort

A delayed welcome to the forum Mufr,
I can see you've been busy with the XK8 and still have some way to go with it.
No need for a link to the XK8/XKR tech section as you've already found your way there.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You may also like to visit the US Lower Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.
