Welcome, I just joined yesterday myself. I also bought my '03 XK8 without seeing it (first auction I won on ebay 5 years ago). Hope the earthquake situation gets better over there for you.

Thanks dude. I am in Tokyo..a few shakes today again but that's nothing compared to the situation in Fukushima. Japan is strong and will get through this I am sure.

Wow, I just looked at a map to see the distance to Fukushima is about 150 mi, is that right? When you plan long distance drives, will the situation up there mean you will more likely drive south instead of north till things get settled down? Looks like Highway 7 on the west coast would probably be unaffected, or were roads that far away also affected by the quakes? Is traffic pretty bad in Tokyo, or do you live in a suburb?

Welcome to the forum,

Good to hear that you are OK, I have some friends in Tokyo, fortunately none of them were injured.

I wont go near Fukushima unless I have to. Staying as far away from the radiation as possible. I think most of the roads up there are already fixed. I didn't see any damage in Tokyo. Traffic is actually much worse in the suburbs. I live in the city, the high cost of parking here and the excellent subway means that there are less cars the closer you get to the center.
