Hi to you all, I thought I'd let you know a bit about myself while I wait for the registration to take affect. My name is John and I live in the U.K. about 35 miles north of London (where I was born) my first Jaguar was a 1959 Mk1 3.4 bought in 1966 when I was just 18, 7 years later I bought a 1966 Mk2 3.8 and I have to say it was one of the best cars Ive ever owned. Over the years I got to know the XK engine very well and of course the rest of the car, I worked in the motor trade for 30 years and gained valuable experience from mechanics which in turn kept my Jags on the road. After S types and 420's, XJ6's series 1,2 and 3, I decided to settle down buy a house, get married and have kids, out went the Jags and got the obligatery 4 door saloon (sedan) now the kids have left home, and the house is paid for I decided to buy an XKR, but couldnt stretch to the cost, so I bought a 1999 BRG XK8 convertable and I'm enjoying every moment, even more than my old Mk2. I will try and post some pics soon, but the weather here has been terrible. I hope that I can contribute to these forums, and gain information in return, Many thanks for your time, John
