Hi - I'm new to Jaguars - just inherited a 2000 XJR with 93K miles from my ex-wife (don't even ask). I'm concerned about repair costs, so I'd like to learn what I can and can't do. I learned to drive in a 1955 XK150 - what a great car! Guess that's why my Dad's business went belly-up - or at least was a contributing factor.
Thanks in advance for all of the info!

Welcome, you can check out XJ8 & XJR Forums for your questions .As far as I am concerned , you may need to change tensioners upper and lower and nikasil issue .The latter might not be a culprit in your case though
Welcome aboard from a former Mission Viejo resident and current XJR owner. Check out the forum that Cadillac mentioned as there is some great info there. Also, when it comes to engine / drive train information the XK8 / XKR forum will provide good information as well, as they share the same drive train.
