Hello all, new member but not new Jag owner. My XJ6 was totaled in July got an XJ8 in August. My question whichi is kinda different from must with issues with their Jags : I was in a shopping parking lot trying to avoid getting hit. I had a drink in my cup holder which by the way is not very well made or sturdy. I hit the brakes my drink flys forward and all of the drink for the most goes into the area where the radio/cassette is on console. It was working for a minute then my cd radio is not playing any music then it just is stuck on phone listed on lCD monitor, none of buttons responding when I click them and then it was just blank...I can not play the radio or cd or cassette at all doesnt light up but the air conditioning buttons and LCD works fine and is on same console on top..no liquid hit that area. This is a 99 XJ8. I check the fuses they are not blown. Does anyone have any idea what this maybe ? I have one or two I have asked other jag owners who have not clue but to say I may have destroyed the radio and it will need to be replaced or to let it dry out for couple of days.This happened saturday 9/23 about 4pm and it has been 1 day as of now... still no luck. HELP...Cant talk to jag dealer till monday of course.
