I'm a 4th time Jag owner and my Favorite was a 1978 XJ6L that I put a small block and an R4 transmission in.
I now have a stock 2007 XJ8L with ~75K miles (I do a one way 600 mile commute every other week to a factory in another state) that has developed a creek in the front suspension. I have not looked at it yet but it started on a cold (~0F) day and seems to be getting louder. The creak has a frequency of the standing wave in a spring.
