Hey all,
Just joined (duh) and to be honest I never thought I'd end up here. I had for a long time drooled over 04+ xj8's especially with their price per mileage. Anyways, I was long deterred after deciding I want a clk500 or corvette. Well I searched and searched all winter only to miss multiple deals on them. I have now come to the realization that a corvette would absolutely bug me in any day where there was something falling from the sky. The clk500 still tugs at me slightly but mpg wasn't to impressive for the car it is.
I am in college and some may think I'm "spoiled" for looking at cars as these. However I took a 97 lexus es300 hand me down that went through both my mother and grandma and 3 previous owners. It was cheap and has lasted me this long but now at 200k+ the old girl is giving in slowly. Lots of electronic nonsense, missing at idle, etc.
So now with all this money I have worked and saved up I plan on getting something I enjoy. Being young most kids my age want a sports car or truck. However I prefer the finer things and life and just can't get over these jags. I plan to have one within the next two weeks if all goes well. Wish me luck!
