Hello All!

I have recently inherited my grandpa's 1988 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas.
I don't know much about the car and am learning all I can. I stumbled across this site and thought it would be a great tool to help me learn more about the car.
It is a champagne exterior with a tan leather interior. The car seems to be in great shape, unfortunately it has been sitting for about 2-3 years.
I had a little help tracking down an electrical short in the rear taillights that was causing the battery to drain and now the battery holds a charge.
Next step is new fluids. I know a bit about cars and maintenance, so I'm fairly positive changing fluids is something I can do on my own.
I'll get photos up of the car as soon as I can.

Welcome to the forum ! The XJ40 will be the forum for your car, so if you have questions, post there as most of us "experts" post for cars they have personal knowledge of.

I only claim expertise on the Mark 2 and the XJ Series 3, and some albeit limited on the XJ6 (X350 series).
