!! New Owner 98 XJ8 !!
Hello all i'm new to this site, i'm Adam , i'm 24, and i'm 50 miles west of St. Louis, MO. I've been checking over the forums reading up the past two weeks before joining. I've always wanted an XJ8 since I sawoneat a local dealership here in Missouri when I was in 8th grade.(There are mostly big trucks here, I live 20 mins froma Chrysler plant and roughly an45 minsfroma ford plant)
I just recently bought a mint 1998 Jaguar XJ8that had it's whole life at a dealership (garaged "the Collection" inMiami) with 77500 miles, with all service records and proper care given.(Car ships tomorrow) date of production is 10/97.
AnywaysI was curious about the change in the environment, it's roughly 65+F down there I see while still mid winter up here Missouri. Do jaguars adjust to temperature changes well? As well I'd enjoy any tips/tricks that you guys have to offer, this appears to be a great site for all. Thanks folks.
here are afewpics of the new beast. (it's in carnival red pearl clearcoat (CFS) with oatmeal (AGD) interior.. rather pretty car..
BTW i've got a k&n cold intake system on the way and mesh grill plates, couldn't resist will post pics. cheers all!

Hi atom n welcome to the forum mate.....
What a beautiful car you have there, stunning colour combo and looks immaculate too
Great to have you aboard n hopefully you'll be a regular visitor.
You might want to check out the regional section to see who's who near you and also the XJ section for any helps n tips on your particular model. Any major probs / queries that you have difficulty in getting answered try the general tech help section.
Good luck

thanks, and yeah i'll be checking it out reading up. AlsoI don't know if you guys posted this before, but I just got an exquisite shifter knob from this gentleman on EBAY. here is his ebay store link for jaguar custom knobs. The one I chose seems to match my interior perfectly.. in a maple burl wood.
