New owner and happy about it.
Good morning all,
My name is Dale, I have just gotten my deal of the day on a car I have admired since the first time I saw one up close.
I fell in love with Jaguar cars in 1973 when I saw up close a brand new 1973 XKE V12, Snow White paint and Black leather interior. I then knew I wanted one.
So Friday last week after a search on line in Auto Trader I saw it. (I have been actively searching for 7 months for THE car) And after just missing out on others I knew I had to act fast, I called to insure the car was still available and made an appointment to see it.
When I got to the dealership I saw it off in the distance it looked better than in the picture on line. I went in to meet the salesman I had spoke to on the phone. We went out to the car, he asked me to walk around the car for a few minutes while he went to get the key.
I walked around the car twice looking at the Ice Blue paint and bodywork not a scratch not even a door ding. When he came back I asked if I could test drive it, of course he said ok, He pulled it out to the drive showed me some of the controls and off we went.
I was amazed how quiet the car was for being a convertible and the performance I haven't felt that since the 1967 Camero RS/SS 350 convertible I had some years ago.
We got back to the dealership and looked over the interior, Like new cream colored leather and beige carpet. I walked around it one more time and I then told him I had to have it.
This car as strange as it sounds had been in a time capsule, It literally is in like new condition and it has only 21,500 miles on it.
The mileage on the car is the only reason the dealership did'nt send it to auction. The car had only been traded in 2 days prior and been offered for sale that day, I was the first to test drive the car.
My dream car is a 1997 XK8 4.0 convertible 21,500 miles, Ice Blue exterior w/cream and beige interior. I paid 14,500.00.
I look forward to posting here, and as time goes by and I learn more about my Jaguar hope to help others.
