Hello,

I recently bought a 2006 Jaguar X-type from Florida. I have always been a Jaguar lover and decided to buy one. I am very happy with it except for the vibration I have. I wish I had joined forum prior to purchaing LOL, I would have known to look for the vibration, I did feel it but tought it was tires.

I am also a Porsche lover and have currnetly have 3 968 cabriolets. I recently installed a supercharger in 1 of my 968's and it really woke it up, its a blast to drive.

I am an electrician who owns and operates my own small company. I love cars and love to work on them but in no way a professional mechanic LOL. I know when to say its out of my comfort zone but I am always wiling to try to fix something. I do all my own maintaince on my Porsches including timming belts and replacement of the cams, not bad for a backyard mechanic , and yes it runs LOL.

Thank you

Welcome to the forum blue968,

Thank you for the interesting Intro. That explains the '968' and also expands my geographical knowledge to learn there's a 'Cumberland' in Rhode Island as well as it being the name of one of the largest counties in England.

You certainly went some distance to source the X-Type. Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type tech section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

I can see you've already found your way to the US North East Region section so no need for a link. If the guys in X-Type section can't help troubleshoot the vibration issue, I hope the members there can suggest a local tech for you.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome to the forum Blue.

It sounds as though you can find your way around a car.

Hopefully you can get your vibration sorted out.

Good to see you.
