Hello all! I have an Ultimate Black/Jet Black 2011 XJ with a June build date. I thought I would be buying the XF, which I fell in love with back at the San Diego Auto Show in December 2007. I had talked to the Sales Reps and they dropped the ropes so I could sit in the XF and drink in all the magic. Almost three years later I decided to drop by my dealer and take out the XF, but for kicks, I also drove the XJ - which I drove into my garage that evening.

I also had a 2002 X-Type 3.0L Sport, Manual, in Black/Black with almost all options. If someone out there picked up my car when it came off lease in December 2005 with 28K miles I hope you're loving it as much as I did. The only reason I didn't buy it at that time was my kids were growing up fast and it didn't seem to be comfortable for 6-foot tall people in the back seat.

My first British car was a 1987 Sterling (or Rover) 2.7L. I wish my first British car would have been a MG TD, maybe someday I'll find one. I also have a 2006 A6 and a 1986 RX7.

I have been lurking through your forum for the last three weeks and it's time for me to join. When I had my X-Type I was in Jagtalk, but there is so much more going on here. As for breakeven, I chose it because a friend was going to The Script concert tonight and the song is just stuck in my head.

X Type is a cute car and love the way it looks , XF being an upper model you should be liking it more than others

 

Welcome to the forum. My absolute favorite color combo - I have a black/black X350 and love it. You'll really love this forum and it just added a very new section just for the 2011 XJ.
