Hello My name is Phil, I am new to the jaguar forum site. I have a 2002 x type 2 litre. I have a problem with my boot lock. The central locking unlocks the car ok. The boot tries to unlock when i press the button on the boot, this also activates the number plate lights. Is there any way to gain access to the boot to try repairs?

I think I've guessed the secret location but won't give it away.

Follow Norri's link to the X-Type section for help and advice on getting into the boot.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
