Hi Jag owners. I'm proud owner of '98 XK8 conv. and '07 X-type. Got XK 12/06 as the 3rd owner. 1st put 27k in 7 years, 2nd put 12k in 1 yr. I've now got 90k on her. She's my daily driver. Because of all the problems Jag had with new model I've changed many parts incl. timing chain tensioners.
Tech figured I had about 500 more miles on tensioners. The X-type is my wife's. It's her second. bought a '03 new. Had 3 trans. in 6 months. Had to have $1800 in brake work 4 months after warranty ran out. Got rid of it in '09 when we bought the '07 with 29k. Not a VDP but has every option offered in X-type. XK8 is BRG, tan top and interior. X-type is JRG with white interior. Thanks to the info from forum. I saved $$$ fixing the XK8 myself.
