Default Portentious in Portugal

We were having a great Rally in Portugal when the gearbox started leaking and required frequent top-ups. It got worse and worse, with loss of power transmission until it finally completely failed in a small village, on a bank holiday, in the middle of nowhere. If God was really with us, it wouldn't have failed in the first place, but He did make a gracious late entry and we found a car workshop no more than 25 yards away, not operating, but with the boss in his office. With the help of a computer translation program he had his mate there with a flat bed transporter within half an hour and we were transported 150 miles to the Rally's next venue. My car is a 1975 XJ6 coupe that has been made convertible and the repair options in Portugal wre limited.

Cutting it short, we got home, the car is back in UK with is, in a gearbox garage, awaiting repair.
A costly episode!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
