Replaced my wrecked VDP with an S model
I was happy with my VDP until someone ran a stop sign and I t-boned her. I picked up a 2004 S type r. I'm not sure I made the right choice. The engine compartment is tighter than my wife's bank account.
Looks like I have an AC problem that I have to resolve along with the smell of anti-freeze in the passenger area.

You made the right choice, STRs are great cars. Check out the S-Type sub-forum and search around, there are many helpful members in that area. Your problems could be as simple as replacing the DCCV.

Welcome to the forum Larry,
If your wife's bank account has as much in it as the STR engine compartment, then you made the right choice.
However, you probably didn't come here for marriage counseling (
) so follow QuartzStypeR's link for help and advice on the STR.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Please also visit the Midwest US Region section https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mid-west-us-il-ia-mi-mn-mo-oh-wi-39/ for members and events in your region.
Hope you get the AC issue sorted easily. Enjoy the forum.
