I retired on February 1 2011 after 34 years on one job, and I wanted to do something for myself that I had never done before. I have always wanted a sports car but never in my wildest dream would I have envisioned myself not only owning a Jaguar, but a convertible at that. The first time I drove that Jaguar I was hooked, and I knew that I had to own it. After I bought this car and stopped to fill it up for the first with gas, other people that were getting gas stopped to tell me what a beautiful car I had. I grinned all the way home!!
Smoothone 777,
Welcome to the forum. What did you get and can we see a picture of it?
I am new to the Jag experience also and cannot believe how much more I enjoy driving it than my old Vette. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is very true regarding Jaguars.
Enjoy your new sports car.

welcome neighbor! (relatively speaking), congratulations on a fine retirement vehicle, you'll enjoy each and every time you drive it somewhere. I'm gonna guess you picked up an xk8, probably a 2004 or 2005 ...am I close? Must show pics my friend!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
