Hi to you all. Took delivery of my first ever Jaguar (2004 X Type diesel 2 litre) in December, and I am just familiarising myself with this magnificent beast. I am over the moon with the car thus far, only one problem up to now is that the rear parking sensors do not appear to be working. Maybe (hopefully) just a fuse problem which I will have checked out. Due to the problems with my age (69) I will get one of my sons to perform this task, as I am not as 'flexible' as I once was. Will post my results in due course. Thank you for accepting me into your forum.

Welcome to the forum starburn,

Rear parking sensors aren't usually difficult or costly to troubleshoot. Fuse or feed is a good place to start.

Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the X-Type and the forum.

Graham

Thanks Graham - geographically quite near - I used to live in Durham many years ago and remember it fondly (if a little fuzzily following Big Meeting Day!!)

Hi, welcome aboard Starburn....... good to have you here with us at JF

I remember a longggg time ago thinking 69 was old, now its just slightly past middle aged....lol

The parking sensors will probably either be one of the sensors has failed or the control unit.....should be easy enough to track
