Default Surprised Jag owner!

My son just gave my wife and I an anniversary gift......A 2002 Jaguar XKR convertible! unbelievable!
I have never owned such a sophisticated automobile and will be awhile understanding all the bells and whistles.
This is the second day of ownership and I am having problems with the convertible top and will search the forum and if need be post my problem in the proper section later. Right now it is up and I can live with that for awhile but this IS top down weather.
I expect to be a lurker and gleaning all the information I can about my new love.

My thanks to those of you that make this forum possible!

How To Add Pictures In Your Messages

Do yourself a favour and get involved if you can, even with a post here n there, maybe some pics of your ride to show her off, maybe one of you in the Mug shot thread ( we're all mostly in there....lol )

There's the regional section for you too as well as the off topic area.............generally those who get a litle more involved get a lot more out of the experience.

There's a really great mix of information, camraderrie and fun here.....

Welcome to the forum Gary,

Are you thinking of putting him up for adoption......?

Wonderful anniversary gift. Hope you both get a great deal of pleasure from owning and driving it.

Follow Norri's link to the XK8/XKR section where you'll get plenty of advice on hood issues and much more besides.

Graham

Welcome Gary, you wouldn't want to offer your son for cloning would you??? There's a need for thousands more like him...

Default Thanks

Thanks for the nice welcome guys, I think I’m going to like it here.
No GGG, maybe he could have been adopted several years back when I was paying college tuition for him and his two brothers at the same time but they are keepers now.
Jayt2, I have cloned him, his two brothers are very much like him. They all take pretty good care of the old man and their mom.

Sad to say I still don’t have the top working and search as I might, I haven’t found the answer so I guess it’s time to make that post. Wish me luck!
