Default What is the best of everything for my X-Type?

I am trying to find the best of the best products Brakes, brake pads, tires, spark plugs oil etc etc. Why?,So I can win the Rocky Mountain Autocross series. Although, I understand newer and better products come out all the time I hope we can get a consensus and have a page or section dedicated to listing specific products for the enhancement of the Jaguar X-types performance. I drive in the most extreme condition in Colorado and i must say the X-Type is the most capable car going over Vail pass. I just started auto-crossingI have had no formal training. I think all I need to win is some Hankook RS-2 255/35/18's with OZ Superrgella III 18-9 rims. Please shoot me your ideas and let me know if anyone ells races their X-type?

Welcome to the forum EDLF.....

Re the racing - Grrreat!
Check out EBC's website and look at uprating the brakes to their slotted / grooved rotors and marry them up with EBC Redstuff or maybe Yellow stuff pads for racing. The stopping power from these ceramics is amazing!!

Good luck

[REGARDING OIL AND OIL FILTER]O.K. I will take a chance here and start things off. I found Royal Purple 5W-30 (about $7.00 each)to be the best so far, I was using Mobile 1, the Royal Purple seems to let the car start in cold conditions much better. The engine seems to run smoother too. K&N seems to make the best Oil filter too($12.00 each filter), the part number for the X-Type is Part Number: K33HP2009 and the manufacture number is MFR#: HP2009.

[REGARDING ROTORS AND BRAKE PADS]Looks like EBC for Brakes too! EBC SPORT SLOTTED AND DIMPLED BRAKE DISC SET. For the front-Part Number: E35GD981, MFR#: GD981* about $170.00 eachand for the rear-Part Number: E35GD1050, MFR#: GD1050*about $150.00 each. The EBC pads are EBC REDSTUFF CERAMIC 3000 SERIES BRAKE PAD SET, Front-Part Number: E35DP31322C, MFR#: DP31322C ($83.00)* Rear-Part Number: E35DP31350C, MFR#: DP31350C ($65.00)*

*= Part number for X-Type only!!!

SO FAR!Best Oil: Royal Purple 5W-30Best Oil Filter: K&N Oil Filter
