Yet ANOTHER new member......
Well folks, here I am, back amongst the elite cadre of discerning owners of milestone automobiles. Just bought my first Jag in over 25 years, an XKR convertible. Back in 1967 I bought my first Jag, a 1953 XK-120 drop head. The cat bug bit HARD and next I nabbed a XK-120 fixed head. Then a '49 aluminum bodied roadster. various MK7's & 8's, 120's, 140's and a 150 Swallow came next. A 4 year stint in working overseas caused me to sell all but the 1st drop head back in the 1970's. STUPID STUPID STUPID. Back then I did ALL my own grease monkey tasks. However, opening the hood on this XKR and seeing wall to wall equipment is intimidating as all heck. Hopefully you experienced hands can share your sage advice when necessary.
Nice intro' Grendel, corr I bet you sometimes kick yourself for letting all those early motors go.
Still, your new XKR has more in the way of electronics than all of the others put together, should make up for it a little
