Hi All, I have recently purchased a 1974 XJ6 series 2, a car I always wanted when I was growing up in the UK but couldn’t afford until now! I have been viewing the helpful information on this forum and I figured that it would be great to join. I don’t know the exact mileage of my car but I’m guessing that it’s coming around the clock for the third time (in kilometres) probably 230,000kms or so. It’s in great original condition and certainly doesn’t look 46 years old but is obviously showing some marks of its age. I believe that it has been well cared for through most of its life. That looks like an exceptional example Bob!

I had a 1974 XJ6 series 2 when they were still current. I couldn't really afford it either, managed to run out on both tanks in central London.
