Just left my local Jeep dealer, I needed some power steering fluid for my wife's 06' Cherokee. They charged my $17 for one quart.

I also need a couple of quarts of trans. fluid ATF-4, $9 a quart.

I was thinking of changing the coolant but they wanted $23 a gallon.

Did I miss the memo on these high prices at the dealer?

Sorry, just need to vent. Sticker shock.

 

Not as cheap as you'd think eh? American vehicles shouldn't even be allowed to play with everyone else with their subpar r&d team.

No offense to you and the cherokee...

 

Lesson learned. That's what auto parts stores and sometimes even Walmarts are for. You'll save at least 50% on any fluid you care to name at the dealership....
