Default Fiat 500???

I just test drove the new Fiat 500. We had one through work since I work for a company that is owned by Fiat.

I was pretty impressed with the car. I was driving it on a test track in the pouring rain and the car held the track well and seemed to have some pep with the sport mode engaged.

They won't sell it for a while over here in the States and I'm not sure what the price point would be but I'd probably consider buying one since I commute about 90 miles per day. It needs a little something more though like an Abarth version or an aggressive exhaust.

Before he could afford his first Jag, my dad was into Fiat 124 spyders so I have some fond memories of Fiat from back in the day.

How do people like the car over in Europe?

Personally I don't particularly like them, but then I don't like Beetles, Ka's, or Modus (Renault) so I'm probably a bit odd.

However we do see quite a few of them so I guess that people must go for them, now my brother in law back in the UK loves them and his company car has those must have options, of blue lights, sirens and radar;-)

Nothing against your parent company, I'm quite a fan of one of their sub-divisons.

They are selling well and I thought it was car of the year when it came out. A performance edition and convertible are needed for US market ASAP. I don't agree with staging the release as Chrysler is planning.

This car will be hit if they launch it right. They need to get this car into the hands of the aftermarket manufacturers ASAP too.

I would buy one, but the ulitmate small car is the Renault Clio V6; not that is one bad *** ride!

I do believe that "Fiat 500" isn't the car's only clone. There are other manuf. who use the engine and floorpan, possibly Opel/Vauxhall?
