Hey guys,

after my 1997 XJ8 (X308) decided to rust away on me, I had to get something to drive. So I opted for cheap, cheaper, cheapest!

A dinky little Fiat 500 and with an engine, you 'Muricans don't even get! A 1.2l 4 cylinder with a whopping 69 hp! It isn't the smallest engine but the least powerful No turbo. Just REAL horsepower!

Put a borescope down the plug hole, take a few pics and post up here,
Gone are the days when these machines were Thousands, I paid about 100 a few years back but hey things are still moving; how about an attachment for your Iphone for 6 or 7 quid from amazon, so if you are bothered and want to search I bet you can find for under 5!!!!! here is an Amazon link If you are lucky you might have cossy pistons and a 6L steal crank the rest is basically standard, if unlucky you have a hand made plate with JaguarSport 6L 52 on it (original or otherwise) stuck to the back of any old HE block! How many time have I seen that.
I would hgave liked to have seen the dissy that was on the engine,
But do get the borescope phone attachment and post up here.

Strange post about the Fiat ...............however ; my latest steed is a Lancia/Chysler ypsilon, 900cc 2 cylinder turbo more powerful than the larger engines and handles like a go cart!
love it.

 

My 1971 Saab Sonnett only had 70 HP but still ranks in my top ten fun cars out of probably 100+ I've owned. HP isn't everything.
