Default How to get painted decals off a car????

My son just bought a nice 95 Mustang GT that is Yellow. At some point in the past someone painted a horse like logo on the sides of the car, some of it has came up. It is not decals, but some type of paint. Some of the thinner parts of it you can scrub had and it comes up but some of the thicker parts no so easy. What can I use that will pull this black paint off the car without taking up the yellow paint. Like I said just washing the car last night, with wash rage that has a soft and rough side, with the rough you can pull some of it off but would be hard to do it all that way.

You could treat it the same way as orange peel or overspray and "wet sand" it off with 2000 grit wet and dry sandpaper following by polishing compound over the whole door panel to blend it back in.

Goof Off, maybe?

If it was vinyl I know I could help you out. A blow dryer.
