Most Embarrassing Car to drive
2WD SUVs, especially the European sort (Qashqai and the sort). Basically you've got a jacked-up smaller car that is priced like a larger car, and any benefit from the added ground clearance is negated by the lack of 4WD.
I'm pretty much the same way. I like virtually anything with an internal combustion reciprocating engine. But while I wouldn't mind poking around under the hood of some of these ugly cars, there are some that I'd be embarrassed to be seen in the driver seat. Pontiac for instance, while the Trans Am has always been appealing, they get raspberries for the shame they brought upon the LeMans nameplate back in 1988. Had they named it anything else, it would have just been a boring little economy car that I could happily drive for what it was, but the blasphemy of calling it LeMans; I just couldn't be associated with such a travesty.

Salmon red PT cruiser convertable.
We were on a diving trip to Florida some years ago. My cheapo freind had arranged the car. That is what they wanted to give us. I point blank refused to get in that car. I think I had to pay the $6 per day extra for a Ford Taurus

Second the Prius, add the Echo too but the most embarrassing must be the AMC Gremlin. It looks like the designers run out of time before finishing the rear, truncated it and went into production.
My old Chevy Chevette! Just sorry I didn't get to shoot it before I gave it away. Took it up to the Smoky Mtns once, did about 15 mph with the pedal to the floor. Had to pull over every few minutes to watch the long line of people pass me giving me the finger.
Pardon my ignorance but I am totally unfamiliar with a "LeMans" Trans-Am. The LeMans trim levels I know of were Tempest/LeMans/GTO and later Tempest/Grand Am. I know they used the name on a compact in the '90s but it was never paired with an F-Body (Firebird/Camaro). I will however use this opportunity to share a picture of the Trans-Am I recently scooped

I would love to have one of these "Cougar" versions. Seen one in Seattle and fell in love! Fenders were a little different, more curves I think.
The Trans Am was great! I was indeed talking about THIS Pontiac LeMans, a perfectly ordinary but boring little rebadged Daewoo. Nothing wrong with it except that an economy car should never carry a name that is so indelibly associated with a famous endurance race.

Wasn't that also the Opel Kadett, European car of the year 1985-ish? *Shudder*
