'99 Miata, and 2003 Yamaha FJR.

The Miata was almost destroyed when my garage ceiling collapsed in Hurricane Michael in October 2018. (The other car I had was destroyed. It was outside, while the Miata was in the garage for "safekeeping.") The Miata took a lot of minor body damage, lots of scrapes and a few small dents, but the top was damaged pretty badly. The insurance actually totaled it but my buy-back was $1600. I got a new aftermarket top for less than 300 bucks, and a frame off of eBay for less than 200, and the body damage doesn't really matter to me. It's got a "rebuilt" title, but I was never going to be able to replace it for that buy-back plus the money for the top, and it's still going great guns. The bike was undamaged by the garage issue.

The Miata was flooded when we had 10 inches of rain from Hurricane Sally in September 2020 (which actually hit 100 miles west of here... that's how big hurricanes are!) but I pulled the seat out, removed the carpet, and took it down to a self-serve car wash and sprayed it out to clean it. The car is fine, it blew some water out of the tailpipe for a few minutes when I started it up after. I lost a Mercedes S55 in that flood, which was the replacement for the car that Michael destroyed. 495 HP! That thing was a beast! Never fired again after being flooded, and that insurance money got me my Jag.

Let's see who else has an addiction...

What do you currently own..
I've always liked the mr2 but haven't bought one.......yet. Talk about addictions tho, similarly I have an 85 Supra that started a serious one. MSS or Multiple Supra Syndrome we called it. I've had nine Supras total, up to seven at one time with four of them actually running and driving and the other five having been bought primarily for parts. There was a point about 2007 when I decided with such a long wish list of cars, it was counterproductive to collect all one type of car so I sold all but the silver one, the first one that started the madness 30 years ago.

After that started trying to diversify and make progress on the wish list of other cars that I'd like to own someday. There've been a few muscle cars that have come and gone, but the current fleet is the silver 85 Supra seen above, a 69 Corvette, the XJ8 recent-former daily, the XF current daily and my 07 Honda Ridgeline parts-hauler/tow vehicle.

I recently divested of another car, thus freeing up room inside for one more and am in the market for something else from my long, long wish list (which includes a few other Jaguars). I had a deal working on a Plymouth Conquest back in the summer that fell through, but being that I started driving in 1984, my wish list is populated with quite a few RWD sports cars from the late 80s and early 90s. I just haven't had much time to shop this year or I'd have six too. Whatever I get next tho will have to be something that you never see at a local car show.

I finally caught that! You all call it a "Shed" I knew you had more then you listed. Yeah the one attached to the house is a Garage, the one out back is usually called a "Shop" over here. LOL!

A "Shed" is what we keep the lawn equipment etc. in.

lol, yup. That is the main shed. ( lots of toys in there) then there is the garden shed… mowers, garden tools etc., powered shipping container with carport, wood shed, and the other woodshed etc.
You can’t see garden shed or the second wood shed in this pic. Just the container and first wood shed.

Here they are, and another 3x3 m shed coming to house the log splitter and firewood overflow.
A man can never have too many, cars, bikes or sheds. ......or fire wood.

Wow you sure got your place looking neat and tidy. That's almost to much grass to mow if you ask me. LOL!

Jack

Are things getting as crazy down there as we're hearing??? It sounds like they have all but declared Martial Law??? It was talking about the Northern Territory. how close is that to you? Hope it isn't as bad as it sounds. Be Safe.

I'm kind of kicking myself right now as in 2015 I could have bought an immaculate one-acre lot just three blocks away with a freshly remodeled early 1900s farm house, a 3-car garage with a one-bedroom apartment above (which was rented out for extra income), a 3-car carport, two fairly new 12x16 foot garden "sheds" and an old metal building that would have fit probably nine or ten cars (tho it was really only just a barn and would have needed a lot of work to insulate it and seal it up against critters before you could store classic cars in it), all for a mere $185,000. I saw the sign go up again last week. It was listed at $329,000 and had a pending contract almost immediately. But I didn't do it back then mainly because I kept looking at that neatly manicured acre and all those buildings and thinking about how much time it would take away from my car hobby. My little 1/3rd acre of man-eating vegetation takes up too much of every weekend as it is. Example: first thing this morning I was vacuuming the leaves out my shops heat pump unit which I have to do two or three times each Fall. O1xjr your place looks like almost a full-time job taking care of all that. You must be retired.

Now tho in hindsight I kind of wish I had been able to predict the market. Heck, I could have borrowed the money at effectively a negative interest rate and paid people to take care of the lawn and the buildings while I tinkered with my cars and filled that barn with more of the wish list.

It’s our wet season (summer) now so needs mowing about every 4 days. It takes about 3 hours to do the whole block.
I do 1/2 to 1 hour each afternoon to keep it tidy.

Its not so bad here, still a lot of interstate travel restrictions and disagreements between state and federal governments. Haven’t heard much about NT.
It’s a fair hike across rugged outback roads and desert from here. To compare Brisbane to Sydney is about 10 hours on a 4 lane highway most of the way.

I picked this up on Saturday. It is fun to drive, handles great and gets great fuel mileage for a 460HP car.

@MV Rider very nice! I was looking at the C7 Corvette before deciding to get my F-type.

In addition to that very recently purchased 2018 F-type, I have a 1996 Corvette LT4, a 1998 Ninja ZX-7R, and a Chevy Volt (need something for these darn Northern NY winters!).

Default New addition.

I still have my white Ftype but traded the white Range Rover for a white urus. My Ftype and Urus look so nice next to each other.

As the original poster (Benjibooji) suggested, there are some of us here with true addictions. As of this past week, I just acquired my 69th vehicle! Of those 69, four are currently in my possession: the newly acquired 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 4matic, a 2020 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 pickup, a 1974 Ford Pinto Runabout, and a 1972 Ford Pinto Squire station wagon. To those here who are not familiar with me, I swore off Jaguars after a dreadful ownership experience with my last one. Nevertheless, I still love cars; always have, always will!
