Cameron just posted about some of the Royal's history with Jaguar, and I just love this picture of Queen Elizabeth driving her X-Type Estate. Before she gave up driving, seem to remember she was pretty fond of scaring the hell out some of her passengers? That ring a bell for anyone?

I am late to the party because I just got the invite and joined.....

She had an XJ8 in the same green and that one was decommissioned from the Royal Mews and sold through a dealership. I'm too lazy to google details of the story, but I recall that modifications were some sirens / lights, communication equipment, and a compartment in the armrest to hold her handbag.

The X-Type estate made news when she was driving through Windsor Great Park and ran into (well, not really) some tourists ambling down the Long Walk. She merely drove around them over the grass and rejoined the road after she passed them.
