Jaguar C-Type Questions for Jag Enthusiasts
Greetings forum, new member here, George. I am not a jaguar guy but have questions on the 1953 Jaguar C-type. I will explain in future posts the nature of my inquiry but for now...does anyone know how many were built? Is it true they built 53 of them then a few years later put out 11 more? Does anyone have further information on the cars availability in the US? I really would appreciate any help/info on this topic.

RE: Jaguar C-Type Questions for Jag Enthusiasts
welcome George -this forum memberhas zero experience with the C type of the 1950's, other than Dinky Toys models!!
But ask me about the 1960's S type and the 1980'sXJ-6.I did see a C type replica once, but replicas are replicas and they bore me,like all cars made of fiberglass, can't be takenseriously.
Isuggestyouask the question at the Jaguar WorldMagazine Forum, based in the UK. The membersthereknow about these old Jaguar racers and places like LeMans and such. Some of them are very knowledgeable about the Jaguar racing division. Also, Jaguar World Magazine isthe "horse's mouth"when it comes to Jaguar cars. Give it a try, just register there and post your question in the appropiate section of the forum.click on the link below:

Jose
